It is a pretty slow Thursday at work. It is beautiful outside but the long range forecast is for rain. A week of rain. Bah. Still… you can feel that spring has arrived and temperatures are getting warmer. This of course makes me think of the yard and gardens at home. We have been waging a losing war against weeds and creeping plants on our lawn. We have initiated numerous chemical attacks and hand-to-hand ground warfare, but we seem to lose more lawn each year. We are planning our next assault…it is a shame having a crappy lawn when most other lawns are dense, lush and green. We do have all the shade trees however… so we are probably fighting a losing battle. We have even contemplated *gasp* cutting down the Birch tree. Sad.

The post election rhetoric is heating up. Amidst it I found this little gem which fairly accurately echoes how I feel. Anyway, I’ll give Mr.Harper a chance to fail before I dismiss the next four years. I have very little faith however that I won’t be very disappointed.

Happy to see the Flyers failing miserably behind 3-0 against the Bruins. Bruins had a Flyers suck chant during game three. That was pretty funny. I like to think delusionally of course that the Sabres softened the Flyers up for the Bruins. *grin* Caps swept by TB… Phew… 640AM keeps on Ovie saying the Caps will never win a Cup with him there. I’m thinking they maybe be right… or maybe he needs a better supporting cast?

Knee hurts like a SOB still… it makes me feel old. 😦
