I tried Linux Mint 22 (Wilma) and my sound issues were so bad I've abandoned it for POP! OS! I've wanted to try it as a main OS and it installed without any issues! What a welcome change. So far, so good...All the customizations have also went smoothly. Just don't tell me it's Gnome. Only issue is Gnome Extensions aren't loading... so my taskbars are pretty vanilla.

Pretty sad to see Jasper and Jasper National Park plagued with fires. It is such a beautiful part of Canada. I hope they can get things under control. ๐
Jez. Apparently there was a test of American air space in Alaska by a joint Russian and Chinese bomber group. The planes flew into US airspace and were met by U.S. and Canadian planes and turned around. Pretty crazy. The growing relationship between China and Russia is equally disturbing. So it appears Russia may be joining the Chinese sphere of influence. This seems to be the bigger take away from this incident: Russia and China collaborating on military events. ๐จ
Nightmare in Jasper
UGH. Seeing the destruction caused by the fires in Jasper today. How awful. One of Canada's brightest gems completely gutted. Lots of Albertans angry at the Premiere who apparently cut money for firefighting. ๐ *SMH* I lived in the area one Summer but never got to Jasper. I feel really sad about not seeing it in its splendor when I had the chance...A tip of the hat to nations sending firefighters to help. South Africa ๐ฟ๐ฆ, Mexico ๐ฒ๐ฝ, Australia ๐ฆ๐บ and New Zealand ๐ฆ๐บ.

Sadly Dronegate appears to be getting worse. Soccer Canada sent Bev (CANWNT's coach) home for the entire Olympics. They aren't doing that if there isn't proof she was involved. How ugly. How UN-Canadian. A wizard should know better. So disappointing. Now anything CANWNT do at the games is tainted by this ugliness. *SMH* Soccer Canada. What a freaking gong show.
