Another ball hockey game in Inglewood tonight. The team I’m on is the most penalized in the league. We have twice as many penalty minutes as the second most penalized team. I think a pattern is emerging. We get behind early, get frustrated, take penalties, get more frustrated and the score just balloons like it did tonight. I think we lost tonight by a touchdown. I’m a little concerned some of my teammates might get into a serious altercation. There are many guys with no composure who are full of piss and vinegar. If used properly that attitude is awesome… in our case, unfortunately, it just results in penalties and powerplays for the other team. Granted I think the reffing tonight was brutal. There were tons of missed calls, including a high stick that drew blood. I have no idea how you can follow the ball and miss a guy dropping to the ground and hold his face… I’m playing for fun and exercise. I’m beginning to think it isn’t much fun at all. I played okay today, I drew a penalty (I think our only powerplay – which we scored on)… I added more bruises to my collection. Sigh…

It is raining a ton. I’m hoping all the work on the week re-seeding the front lawn will be worth it.
