Well that was scary. Canada narrowly wins 2 – 1 against Latvia. It was the perfect group for Sabres coach Ted Nolan to coach. Defensive, gritty, a ‘Team’. They pushed Canada to the final minutes of the third before Canada took the one goal lead. I expected it was going to be close… but damn…. Gudlevskis for president. Canada v. U.S. and Sweden v. Finland. Should be two great semis!

On a much darker note… it is pretty scary what is going on in Ukraine. Now the Ukrainian government is sending in the military to crush the ‘revolution’. Sad times for Ukraine.
