Ugh. More of a letter than a slip… but… it reads the same

Ugh. After about 5 years of work… I was told by my employer today that I’ve been laid off due to financial reasons. It was a stupid long commute and the pay wasn’t awesome… but I liked the people and thought it was rewarding work. My boss was very upset and said it’s a ‘shitty’ day… but they had no choice. Sigh… so a few things are now on hold… specifically the backyard reno. One door closes another opens… hopefully sooner than later.
