Happy Birthday to me.
I recently watched loudQuietloud a video about one of my favourite bands Pixies. First off time can be nasty Charles and Kim have ballooned considerably; while David and Joey look very much the same. The video follows the band around the world on their reunion tour (which I went to) and has some pretty candid behind the scenes moments. It was really the first time I’ve seen the personalities of the band members. KIm seems troubled. Clearly years of drug and alcohol abuse has left various scars. At least she insisted on having no booze back-stage during the tour. Charles was interesting… I’m sure many people could pass him by at WalMart buying stuff for his kids and not know who they walked by. I never knew Joey was so introverted. I think he said five words during the movie. David seems a little messed up as well. Personalities aside it seemed they really needed the money which likely prompted the tour. The film hints at them recording together again, but it hasn’t happened in 4 years afterwards so I can only assume it ‘ain’t’ happenin’. An interesting look at the band for any fans.
Up stupid early to take my car in to get fixed. Can’t wait for the good news. Sigh.

My co-workers took me out for lunch to Mongolian Grill. YUM I hope we sign something soon… it would be a shame to break up this team. *frown* I got cake! *smile* Sabres better win tonight!

Sabres didn’t let me down! They got the big win v. Boston tonight. 🙂
