At different levels of crazy
We decided to take advantage of the day and wandered over to Beattie Pinery Nature Reserve for a dog walk with Brian. This lovely park is just outside of Alliston. This was Edie's first local trail walk. She does remarkably well for a puppy. She trots along keeping close and to the trail. What more can you ask for? Where she was raised is within a massive dog park. She had trail walks every day... It clearly has paid off! We eventually came to main attraction - which was a stream. There were already dogs enjoying the water and they kept coming the entire time we were there. So much for a quiet walk in the forest? Some owners don't control their obnoxious dogs and it is irritating. Maybe when your idiot Husky is barking over and over and over at our puppy you should do something about it? Derrr. F U Meeka! The rest of the dogs were mostly behaved. Little poopers eventually got tired and needed to be carried. Good lord it is already hitting over 30C. Sigh It was a fun first outing with both dogs. Snoog is only selectively interested in the puppy. I guess that isn't surprising - she is a very OCD dog. *shrug*

Got our first DQ of the season. OM.
I watched a pretty grim film called Pilecki's Report on Netflix. It recounted the first details made to the Allied forces during WWII of what was actually happening in the German concentration camps. Yes, grim stuff. It was from the point of view of a Polish solider who made the reports from the camp. It also details his horrible post war treatment by the Communist Polish government at the time. It was based on real life of Witold Pilecki. He was posthumously awarded the Order of the White Eagle, the highest Polish decoration. It was a pretty gritty film. A great story and chilling account (very sad) of a Polish hero. ⭐⭐⭐½
🇨🇦 Canada v. Netherlands 🇳🇱
Game looked very similar to a few of the World Cup games... While their top players had pace and energy they kept up with the better team. However...once they slowed down in the second half, the gap in player quality got exploited over and over. 4-0 is disappointing. Every mistake was a goal against. Canada had a few chances and AGAIN no finish. Having to play a perfect game is NOT a winning strategy. 🇫🇷 is going to be really ugly on Sunday. Sigh.
Good Lord. Iceland 🇮🇸 beat England 🇬🇧. *gasp*
