Impact in 5 seconds….

WOW. NASA successfully fired a rocket into an asteroid. The intent is to see if we can alter the trajectory of an asteroid that would potentially impact the Earth. So astronomers will be gazing at the big rock to see the effect of the impact…Pretty wild stuff!

Also skyward… Jupiter will appear larger and brighter than usual Monday night, as it makes its closest approach to Earth since 1963.

Ugh! Just reading that the Fiona storm wiped out Teacup Rock in P.E.I.. 😦 Sad to hear such a famous landmark get destroyed.
