I expected Canada was going to have a tough game to open COPA against the world's top ranked Argentina. The boys played another great game under the new head coach. They generated more chances than I expected they would but, it, once again, comes down to a lack of finish in the final 3rd. The boys made it to half-time tied at 0. The second half the Argentines put their offensive in a higher gear and capitalized on two Canadian mistakes. Somewhere in a parallel universe, I figure Canada scored, tied or could have even won that game... After the game reading some awful racism directed at Canada players from Messi fanboys. Disgusting stuff... Once again, a South American team proving how classless they are. SMH Anyway, I think they had good form.. I expect they should be able to get a result from one or both of the other games.

We are up at the cottage for a few days... So of course when are finally beside water the temperature drops 10C. It has also rained off and on most of the weekend. Sigh. There are four dogs here and they are certainly creating A LOT of chaos. Surprisingly, the younger dogs (after the initial screamfest) are getting along well and playing. The older dogs, well, they are have a lot of bitch-off... which sucks. We watched the series Under the Bridge. We blew through all eight episodes in two days. It was based on the real murder of Reena Virk by a group of teens on Vancouver Island. It was very compelling and well acted. It is a tragic story. โญโญโญโญ

Oilers game six tonight. Go Oilers!

Oilers force game seven!

WoW! Oilers could be making history! They force a seven after being down 3-1 in the series. Winner on Monday wins the Cup! Incredible!

Details are still coming out... But it is certainly sad to hear the Ontario Science Centre is closing. Can't help but think another one of Ford's back room pay off deals is involved here.

Well...I tried running Linux Mint on my Lenovo X390 Yoga Thinkpad but it was a gong show. The trackpad was a nightmare. It would would for 5s then not work for 20-30s. Repeat. The OS became unusable. Sadly I've had to resort to returning to Windows. I mean, I could have jumped through forums for hours to try and resolve it but.. Meh... It also seemed to be running way hotter than it should be for what I was doing. I want to get an idea of the expected results in Windows. *shrug*

Well, despite seemingly having most of the play in offensive zone in the 3rd. The Oilers couldn't tie it up. They hit a post. The puck trickled by open nets, but stayed out... Pretty disappointing. Would have been a cool story. F*ck Florida and f*ck Bettmen for putting teams there. Only silver lining is a few ex-Sabres won. (Okposo, Reinhart, Rodrigues) Nice for Paul Maurice and Louongo too. Troopers. Corey Perry is the kiss of Death apparently. He has been in four straight Cup finals and lost every one. Wow.

Copa! Costa Rica drew Brazil 0-0? Wow.

WOW! Julian Assange has been freed!
