My first JavaScript game. Hangman!

No blog entries lately. Life has become pretty routine. I’m at school coding or at home coding. Coding. Coding Coding. I’ve sunk an obscene amount of time into my first Javascript game, Hangman. I didn’t take the easy way on anything. I tried to make reusable, useful functions that I can reuse in the future. I solved a ton of things (with many, many google searches too of course) – but I have working sound, loading JSON content to an array (what a pain) and I’m using a few objects and having plenty of DOM interactivity. It was a great learning project. Hopefully, I can fix all the remaining display bugs. Once done (this Thursday) then I have another major project due for December 13. So as one prof said, you better make Red Bull your friend. I’m enjoying it though. It is an interesting balance between logic, structure and creativity.

Mmm birthday cake ice cream

So I age another year on Monday. Thanks to bdot who scored me some tasty treats for my birthday. The family is over tomorrow.

Some sad news, my sister’s dog Boomer has passed away. He was the focus of their life for well over a decade. My condolences to both her and my BiL, I know what it is like to say goodbye to our treasured four-legged family members.

Well, who expected this? My boys are on an EIGHT game winning streak. Incredible.
