Humber River walk

It was a pretty quiet weekend. Haircut. Groceries. Laundry. We did get out for a long walk late Sunday afternoon on the very frozen Humber River. It pretty cool. There was evidence of other people using it to ski or snowmobile. It is obviously very flat and it is really nice terrain. If weather permits we would like to do a longer walk along the frozen waterway as it is quite beautiful.

Another shocking murder today by U.S. Police captured on video. It looked like FIVE cops were trying to get a homeless man under control – the cops claim he went for a gun – so they shot him five times…dead. It reminds me a lot of the Robert Dziekański incident. Cops seem to have no plan for physical resistance if tasers don’t work other than to shoot to kill. Don’t resist the police and live seems to be lesson here. Can’t wait to see how this case disappears. The RCMP did apologize. Well kind of half-assed IMHO – media grilled him pretty badly. Could never see the LAPD do that.
