No. Not really. But yes, I did go hunting yesterday with B. and Kevin. After all that is what my dog (a Vizsla) was breed for. Seeing a dog do what is natural to them; something that is in their blood; is pretty remarkable to witness. Birds could be anywhere. Humans would never find them alone. With a bird dog however we found four in about three hours. Tanga found her first birds in a real situation. It was actually pretty cool. Shitty for the birds of course; they are bred to be used for huntingโฆ and I guess in the big picture; humans donโt really need to hunt birds with dogs anymoreโฆ but it was still fascinating to see instinctual behaviour of a dog hunting. The birds were skinned and will be eaten.
It was a nice day to be outside (even with all the constant baying of hounds in the distanceโฆ). The conservation area we were in was fairly dense brush with lots of nasty hawthorns, the ground was very rutty as well.
After the hunt we went our for some seriously tasty Indian in downtown Guelph. It was a little pricey but very good! I felt very full afterwards. Thanks for the pants Kev. *wink*
I love you fall back!
