Thank you RJ!

The Buffalo Sabres play by play (voice of the Sabres) Rick Jeanneret is sadly retiring. He has been the voice of the Sabres for DECADES. I still recall listening to his calls in bed as a boy (and that was a LONG time ago.) So many memories. RJ brought so much life, colour and emotion to the play by play – you knew when his voice raised it would be time to ‘roll the highlight reel’. An absolute treasure and solidified my love of hockey decades ago. Shame he couldn’t be cloned – listing to the Sabres now just isn’t the same. So glad he had a great SOLD OUT ceremony last night in Buffalo, and a win. Shame he never got to call a Stanley Cup win. It would have been epic.
