‘Tis the season to drive up to Drysdales for our yearly festive tree butchery. We met up with my sister and JP. It was an unusual crop of trees this year. There were lots of odd ‘double mutant trees’, short ones, most had something wrong with them… it took two hours of wandering around in the cold before we settled on a mostly perfect trees. After our adventure we were all hungry and take out from Tara was our reward. It is such a treat… the dramatic flavours never cease to impress my taste buds. It was a fun day.
Today was housework: vacuuming, laundry, groceries. Bdot had her friend BBB and her daughter over. They are staying over tonight. I’m not sure when they are going to sleep. They have been baking for hours making ‘cake-pops‘. I’m pretty sure they are all wacked out on sugar. Anyway, tired, really just wanted to post these photos.
Another pic of the Christmas tree from the inside. Here is the monster we dragged from the forest. More later.
Hmm. I’m apparently 8 pounds over my ‘ideal’ weight, for age, gender, height… heading into the most indulgent time of the year. *joy* I’m thinking some long walks and time on the stationary bike will be in order. Am not fat! I’m big boned! I’ll update how this goes. I’ve never really deviated much in 20 years in my weight. My awesome metabolism is finally slowing down, I’m actually going to have to work now to stay slim. Ahh, well.
