Christmas tree 2012

It was a long week of prep for the Christmas party we hosted Saturday night. There is always so much to do and Bdot decorated with the spirit of Martha Stewart. The house looks incredibly festive IMHO. I’ll post photos of this years chubby bastard red/silver real Christmas tree shortly. We were still running around Saturday morning cleaning etc. but we were mostly done by the time Trish and her daughters arrived at 4PM. We had sushi takeout from Rebekha. Trish’s daughter (who is 2) sang a song about sushi : ‘I love to eat Sushi, I love Soy sauce (repeat)‘ She sure does, I think she polished off 4 pieces of a roll. MikeMike, his wife and family arrived first looking dapper and ready to party. It wasn’t long until he was mixing drinks and doing shots. Captain and his wife arrived later as did nIVEK. Unfortunately Dupid and his wife were sick and could not attend. It was a fun evening. As usual when we host something Bdot buys a ton of food. We had cheeses, crackers, bacon wrapped meatballs, samosas, chips, veg etc. There was the intention to play a game or two but it didn’t happen. I think people were content to drink and chat, which suited me fine. It was great to see everyone. I’m happy to have friends I’ve known for 20-30 years. There are plans to try and get together sometime post-Christmas in the Falls. We shall see…

I guess I partied beyond my means coz Sunday was rough. I slept the majority of the day… eventually I felt human again by late afternoon. Gah….. In the evening I did manage to wrap most of Bdot’s Christmas presents.
