NHL lockout

I’m pretty disappointed by the NHL and the NHLPA. They sure aren’t meeting with any urgency whatsoever… if they are even meeting at all. Both sides appear stubborn and uncooperative and are taking hockey fans for granted. In a ‘marginal’ sport that has only sporadic traction in the States, I don’t understand how the hockey brass can have such a cavalier attitude. Do they want to close teams? Do they want to lose fans? Just because fans came back after last lockout doesn’t mean that will happen again. All arrows are pointing toward a lockout. The only consideration will be how long. It makes me wish I didn’t love hockey as much as I do… because if I didn’t the disrespect from the league and players union would be enough to turn me off the sport.

Google celebrates Star Treks 46th Anniversary

I think all work weeks should be four day weeks. We are getting a new mattress delivered tomorrow. Yeah, the timing sucks, but the price was right… and bdot’s reoccurring back issues pretty much forced us to look into getting a bed. Also, it was time, the current bed is at least a decade old. I’m looking forward to see how they will get a King bed into the house…. Gasp. I love the delivery time… oh…sometime between 8AM and 5pm…. well alright then. The arrival of the new mattress has forced us to shift stuff around the house. The Queen bed will go to the guest room and the futon will go down to my lair. I do watch a fair bit of sports downstairs, so it will be nice to finally be able to lie down.
