Ha. I read this post from the Huff on twitter : Study shows that shoes reveal personality traits and I thought it actually made some sense. So Iโve decided to show you my work and home shoes. Yeah, I guess they do say a lot about meโฆ most of it may not be good. *smirk* What are on your feet?
Iโm quite enjoying listening to BBC EURO 2012 coverage streaming audio with Alan Green. He reminds me a lot of my favourite commentator (and recent Hockey Hall of Fame inductee) Rick Jeanneret. Great stuff!
I watched two interesting videos tonight. The first was sent to me from my concert buddy Raj. It is about the industrial bands Combichrist and Nachtmahr. Strangely I never really thought about it until the video pointed out just how blatantly hateful some of their lyrical and video content is. You can watch the video here. Pretty damning. With regards to the accusations Combichrist commented: โI have nothing to say in my defense for what Iโve done, I donโt feel like I should have to defend myself. Itโs all fiction. Everybody who knows me knows that I am not the character.โ I guess as long as you sell records you can cop out like that. -Combichrist. It is a shame I do enjoy some of their music. This makes me enjoy it less.
The second video was about the Canadian Omar Khadr who is being held in Guantanamo. The video is called You Donโt Like the Truth. I bet the Canadian and American government sure donโt like the truth. The video shows Khadr being interviewed by CSIS agents and the story of Khadrโs life and imprisonment unfolds. Khadr comes across as a crushed soul that has beared unspeakable hardships. It raises many questions. What evidence has the American government given to hold Khadr? Didnโt Obama say he was closing Guantanamo? Why has the Canadian government not asked for Khadrโs repatriation? It is certainly a sad story. The Star even reported a story saying Khadr was innocent. Innocent or guilty, Khadrโs story is a sad one and the video is quite eyeopening and rather disappointing as a Canadian.
