I made it through the entire Beatles: Get Back documentary. For fans, it is an incredible look at the camaraderie between the four lads while recording an album. It sure looked like equal parts goofing around as much as serious music writing.
(It could also have been edited to look that way) I found it a bit sad considering it was really the last time they would work together as the band. I couldnβt imagine being βThe Beatlesβ at the time and having the expectations on them. They certainly seemed to reveal in reading what the Press had to say about them on a daily basis. The internal band dynamic was quite apparent. John and Paul at the helm, Ringo just the goofy stabilizing presence and George seemingly the wildcard. I thought they sounded amazing with the addition of keyboardist Bill Preston (the fifth Beatle). Shame it ended as it didβ¦ The sum of the parts was much more impressive than their individual efforts. ββββ
