For someone who went to University and majored in Humanities I read very, very rarely, if at all. I love information but reading hasnโt happened since University. Today I finished reading my first novel in years. I finished Douglas Couplandโs Shampoo Planet. It was a great read. I enjoy how Coupland writes and his vivid imagery and characters.
So Iโm home obviously. The drive home was about 4 hours. I stopped only to get gas. I came home for a 2PM meeting I had to setup the job Iโm starting Monday. There is a ton of red tape and documentation and bureaucracy. Joy. I wonder what the big deal is. They are really just extending my EI for 3 months. Whoopie. I donโt even know for sure the โpaperworkโ will have cleared by Monday in order for me to start. Hmmpt.
The cats sure are happy to have me home. Remi has become a Velcro cat. She has been beside me since I got home. Even zippity-Zapper cat has been generous with her affection, especially without B. home. So I guess the cats have forgiven us for leaving them for a week. *grin*
Apparently, there is a storm moving into the area. It hasnโt hit yet but the sky has grayed over and the trees have begun to rustle a bit. So, it is coming. Iโm doing much today. I feel a little lethargic, having to scratch cats for hours on end is exhausting.
UPDATE!
Yes, the background has been changed. Do you know what it is? *grin*
Things I forgot to mention about the Round Lake Holiday:
-tried out our new fire bowl. It was awesome! Now we can have illegal fires at home. ๐
-I canโt believe how much Sailor Jerry Rum I drank
-mosquitoes were brutal until 10PM then they appeared to go to bed
-there is high speed in Wilno, Killaloe and Barryโs Bay
