get off my lawn!

Another weekend zooms by. Friday night I got together with a few buddies for a night of pool. It seems like it has been ages since I last saw Captain and JJ. It was a fun night. I’ve known Captain and JJ for *cough* decades now, so our camaraderie is instant regardless of how long it since we last saw each other. It is a shame we don’t get together more often. Captain is excited as he will be a Dad in a few weeks. I hope everything goes smoothly for him! Most of those playing pool were in their 20s and seemed to be a respectful, courteous lot. It was nice to see, I don’t always feel that way about the younger generations. Gah, what a statement, pass me my cane. Get off my lawn! Sigh…

B. was out most of Saturday at a ‘maker’ event. Captain stayed the night so we hung out until around noon. It was a pretty lazy day. Got groceries, walked the dogs, did some yard work… Sunday we did a fair bit of running around. We took a bunch of weeds and garden crap to the Brampton Recycling Centre. That was a mistake. The place was a zoo. The drop off took 1 minute. Waiting in line to pay and leave took 35m. Brutal. A bit of a waste of a nice afternoon. It made evil B. appear, which was not good. We made a few more stops. Canadian Tire for a hockey helmet, Home Hardware for a sprinkler and Zehrs for a few groceries I missed. The evening was pretty uneventful.

Hockey playoffs start Wednesday! Sabres play the Bruins! Game one is Thursday. Hopefully the Bruins won’t turn the series into a snoozefest. Sabres should be able to get by the Bruins in 5 or 6 IMHO…GO SABRES!
