Sabres Captain Vanek to NYI

Sigh…

I guess it was bound to happen as the Sabres are spiraling down to the bottom of the league. Vanek was an UFA next year. Frankly he has earned (and deserves) a shot on a good team. The Sabres under Darcy may never become that team again.
