We ventured over to Newmarket to take a look at Upper Canada Mall this afternoon. First off, the area around the mall is clearly a commercial mecca. It seems every box store and brand has a store in the area. Included in the numerous box stores is our favourite ‘Costoco!’ We stopped there first, did a little shopping. We certainly never leave there without dropping a few dollars. They had some crack laced veggie chips. They are insanely addictive and tasty I checked for MSG…After Costco we were pretty hungry so we split a Smokey Jack Burger at Jack Astors. I enjoyed a pint of Stella Artois.

Upper Canada mall itself is pretty nice. There is a Bay, a ton of clothing stores, an EB… a good variety of shops to keep one busy.

In the evening we watched a nail biting, sea-saw battle in the Juniors Semi Final between Canada and Russia. What a game… back and forth goals, last minute game, chances in Sudden Death then a shoot-out. I still hate settling the game with a shoot-out but I’m happy we won! We play like that against Sweden, however, and we’ll get Silver.
