It's not cool. It's lethal.

My father called his doctor to get an appointment for later in the week because he was having problems breathing. After seeing the doctor he was advised to go to Emergency immediately. So… my morning was spent watching my father get poked and prodded while various techs tried to determine what was wrong. Clearly his breathing capacity/ability is awful… The tech made him redo the test many times because it was barely registering anything on the machine. His blood is fine. Heart is fine. Lungs awful. Eventually the doctor came in and told him he CAN NOT smoke again… Not a big surprise… If anyone you love smokes – I highly advise you to get them to STOP. Listening to my father hack, cough, wheeze and lose breath day after day has been very difficult to witness. I doubt he could blow out his birthday candles today. I hope whatever was prescribed for him today deals with the real issues that presently plague him.
