Yesterday after some prodding I agreed to met KK and his kids to see a TFC 2 game. Iโve never been to one and it was a nice eveningโฆ soโฆ why not. Well I was running late (of course) and misjudged how long it was take to get to his place (especially during the hometime rush)โฆ And the car was on E. Yup. So Iโm booking it down Weston Road to find it blocked off by police. Unreal. It looked like some oversized crane was moving something. Regardless, with a detour and limited gas, there was no way I was making the departure time. The plan was to go early with him to his daughterโs soccer game then the TFC2 game. Well after the roadblock I turned around, got gas then went home.
I arranged to meet him at The Soccer Centre which Iโve never been to. It was a pretty impressive complex. The hub of soccer in Ontario.
I guess someone should have told TFC2 it was the hub for soccer. They looked pretty incapable of generating any offense against Montreal. It was a pretty dull 1 โ 0 loss for TFC2. That saidโฆ it was cheap and Iโd probably go again. What did impress me was one the TFC fan groups was at the game. They sung, waved flags and carried on the entire game as if it was a TFC game. They were the stars of the game.
From one of our backyard gardens. At least something back there isnโt a weed. We had a reception test done for Over the Air broadcasts. Yes we are thinking about cutting the cable cord. Rogers is a ripoff. So we are trying to reduce our dependence on them as much as is possible. We should get a quote within a day or two. It looks like, since we are in Boltonโs valley, weโll primarily just get the Toronto stations. So around 13 channels. I mean really how many do you really need? If Rogers would let me pay JUST for the channels I want Iโd consider keeping cable. But it is always channel packages trapped with 40 channels I donโt want to get 10 I doโฆ Soโฆ. maybe soon weโll cut the cord. I think it will be great to switch to FREE HD TV.
