MOOHAhAhAH!

UGH! EVIL SUN!!! Well spent most of the day outside yesterday with B. at her Dragon Boat races in Orangeville. The races were fun but my exposure to the sun was not. B.’s team placed 4th. She was understandably miffed at having to sit out a race. Team sports for fun are often like that however.

Back to the sun. I really thought I was avoiding it well by staying in the shade. However, with my lobster red forehead and upper thighs clearly I under rated the sun’s rays again. So I have some uncomfortable burns. Sigh.

We drove home her friend Trish home to the downtown Toronto area. She has a gorgeous, relaxed place. We waited around a bit for her boyfriend to show (thinking we might all go out for dinner) but couldn’t wait as we were getting VERY hungry. So we walked up the Danforth and found a nice Thai place. The dinner was yummy. The conversation reflective over the days events. Some uncomfortable feelings were exposed and rectified and we got on with the evening. We were pretty tired. The sun crushes both of us. So after a little walk and a stop in a candy shop we headed home to medicate our burns (mmm aloe) and sleep our fatigued bodies.

All in all not a bad day… Enjoyed a long (anything over 10 minutes is long for me…) phone conversation with bdot. It was great to hear her more upbeat, more relaxed…. already planning for the weekend… 🙂

1. What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do, but never have?
Travel Europe with my mate/best friend.

2. When someone asks your opinion about a new haircut/outfit/etc, are you always honest?
Yes. And it hasn’t always been appreciated. I’ve made people cry.

3. Have you ever found out something about a friend and then wished you hadn’t? What happened?
Yes. Found out a friend was bad-mouthing me… It created a major problem.. I eventually forgave this person, but will not trust her as highly as I did before.

4. If you could live in any fictional world (from a book/movie/game/etc.) which would it be and why?
J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle Earth would be fun. It would be great to wield magic.

5. What’s one talent/skill you don’t have but always wanted?
Likely to play a musical instrument such as bass or piano.. one day i’ll learn drums. Myabe to read faster or be able to maintain a better reading focus
