Ugh. Wowโฆfeel like Iโm pushing forty today. Gahhhh. Back to back ball hockey games have giving me an achy breaky body. Our normal game days are Tuesday and Thursdayโฆso playing a game on a Wednesday messed everyone up. We had just enough guys to play with one sub. I thought at the time โwe are in for itโ but noโฆ our guys worked and worked all game long and we ended up with a convincing 6-2 win. It was the last game of the season, and yes, I finally scored another goal โ which would end up being the game winning goal. With one sub it really felt like a team effort, I think the guys there felt the same, like a surprised confidence in winning. Anyway, we are riding a string of big wins heading into the playoffs! They start TuesdayโฆIโm hoping to make the game, it is however the eve my holidays begin soโฆ there may be a little rushing around.
Stayed up stupid late last night to watch Rush : Beyond the Lighted Stage it was musical documentary crack on one of my favourite bands. It was impossible to stop watching. What a wonderful journey the film is. They included so much old film and photography from the early years, all stuff Iโve never seen. They also follow the full evolution of the band which is fascinating. (very Outlier-ish) They also tossed in comments from musicians from numerous musical genres who waxxed on Rushโs awesomeness. It is an absolute must-see for any fan and for any spouse of a fan who hates them. It explains a lot of the attraction of the band. โLiving on a lighted stage/ Approaches the unreal For those who think and feel/ In touch with some reality/ Beyond the gilded cage / Cast in this unlikely role / Ill-equipped to act / With insufficient tact One must put up barriers / To keep oneself intactโ
