Labour Day

I have to admit my gfโ€™s brother in law is Mr.BBQ. That was confirmed when B. and I went to Ribfest in Burlington last night. It was expensive, one cob of corn was $3, a half rack of ribs $11, a blooming onion was $7โ€ฆ Phew. Cha-ching!

There were many rib vendors, but two seemed to be getting the most traffic. We decided to try the defending rib champ from last year. The ribs were good, but not great or even all that distinctive. I was expecting a POW! taste on the ribs (I mean they were defending champs) but the sauce was very average tasting. Ho-Hum. There were other vendors, I wonder if any of the others were better, but at $11 plus, how many are you going to sample? It was crazy busy there in spite of the pricey food. It was nice to get out with B. and walk around a bit. Check it out if you like ribs, just bring your wallet!
