Yes, this is a great film, great acting yadda yadda… But I just don’t get the ending… Why does Sean Penn’s character go unpunished? Especially when the cop (Kevin Bacon’s character) clearly knew what happened to Kevin Robbins’ character. I found the ending very UNsatisfying… I’ve read reviews that say the film shows the consequences of vigilantism… How?? Sean Penn’s character appeared to be carrying on undaunted by having killed an innocent man….Meh. Still. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
