Sad to hear the passing of Iron Maiden's original singer Paul Di'Anno. He brought a gruffer, punky energy to Maiden. Killers remains one of my all time favourite albums. #RIP, he was only 66.

I had a good ball hockey game Friday. A few points and most importantly, the assist for the game winning goal. It was our first win. We are still looking for a goalie. Sigh.

I left immediately after the game which I never do... but it was a Muskoka Boyz weekend and I felt it was easier to drive late than the following morning. I took the 400 because I figure it wouldn't be busy as I was leaving so late. Anyway, north of Barrie where cars become sparse, this white Escalade flew by me. If I had to guess, he was going 140/150, maybe more... something about it unsettled me. Anyway 20m down the highway the road merged then I see cop cars, lights, flares, then I see a tow truck pulling a badly damaged white Escalade out of a ditch. Hmm. Creepy. Anyway, I made it up without incident.

It was another glorious, albeit short, Boyz Weekend. We cut down a tree (safely), ate like kings, enjoyed? Jackyl, The Jerk, had a boat ride, laughed a lot, savoured a mighty fire and took in a wonderfullt warm Muskoka weekend. Sadly JD didn't make it.

Sabres won a game! WOW!
