I've been fascinated by Martin Luther King Jr. since my first year of university. I had a logic/rhetoric class and the textbook for it had a collection of works for various people throughout history who wrote persuasively. MLK was amongst them and he was one of my favourites. His work was his 'Letters from Birmingham Jail'. He was just so eloquent and reasonable... he presented arguments so clearly and irrefutably. He was clearly ahead of his time (not just for the long over due civil rights) but he also saw the bigger picture. This quote just seems painfully profound decades later:
"We need leaders not in love with money but in love with justice. Not in love with publicity but in love with humanity"
Yup. America clearly missed that one...Anyway, Happy MLK Jr. Day... I thought there was something else going on today, whatever... must not be important.
Well... I tried Endevour OS. And I did like it with KDE Plasma but it didn't find my video card. And sure, I can google and search and try to sort it out but, fsck that. Shit should work. So I'm trying to stick with Arch and I've installed my old favourite Manjaro. We'll see how it goes...
UPDATE
FFS same issue WITH Manjaro. It is an older AMD Raedon card.. WTF isn't there a driver. Sigh... Apparently there is a AMDGPU-Install script available but NOT for Arch. Fuck Arch. This is silly, silly shit. Ha, going to try Debian. Debian works fine. With mininal effort. Good job Debian!
LOL. Fanta Fรผhrer hit with lawsuits on day one! LOL! For creating that stupid DOGE. I sure hope U.S. continues to push back against the ridiculousness that he will unravel.
Just to keep track of the BS. I made a seperate page. Because holy shit.
update
Wow. I didn't know Debian with KDE Plasma was running Wayland. It is VERY smooth. I'm quite impressed. I do have one issue with Sleep/hibernation however. The screen gets broken when your resume after hiberation. I haven't found a fix yet...Steam and gaming work too. ๐
