Food wasn't monstrous

Yesterday was a pretty long day. Got up uncharacteristically early to help Kirk (the smart a#% comment guy..:) ) move out of his apartment to his fiancée’s apartment. (which seems to be in a cool area of Toronto) This is where the story takes a strange turn. Naturally when you move, you rent a truck. Well Kirk went to pick it up and ran into previous-truck-renter from hell. Apparently this moron, to start off was late… Once he arrived he forgot the keys to the sliding door. Fine. Opens the door… it is full of crap…! Gawd. So then the truck had to be taken to dump to be emptied… Finally after several hours kirk got the truck… and of course the dumb ass left 1/8 of tank of diesel. Sooooo… Vekbert had to find a diesel gas station in downtown Toronto… good grief (apparently the truck stalled 3 times before he could find gas) Crazy. An awful morning for Vek for sure. In time… we got everything safely to the Condo…!

In the evening I attended a 75th birthday party at the Old Mill Inn in Toronto. It was pretty nice. There was a band (Ken Meyer band) – who really should let the female vocalist sing ALL the material… the guy’s singing was dreadful IMHO. An interesting location… it was nice, but I didn’t think it was all that. The buffet was above average but nothing extraordinary. Overall a great evening with bdot. Tired though. Good Night.
