I said goodbye to another co-worker tonight. Yes, a guy I’ve logged many late nights with decided to move to Montreal to be with his girlfriend. I’ll miss him both personally and professionally. Professionally he will be difficult to replace. (Not to mentioned the bastardo left mid-project leaving us scrambling to replace him) But he is a great guy, a solid member of the team. We took him out for lunch with nearly everyone from the office. I embarrassed him a bit telling a waitress it was his birthday – so he got cake and some fanfare. Heh.

We also took him out in the evening downtown. After dinner, yes, we went to the nudie bar. The plan was to get him dances but he flat out refused. I can’t blame him. Sure *some* of the women are attractive and that can be appreciated but the lines and garbage they feed you to get the private dances… Gah. It always makes me feel a little dirty. Paying 10$ a drink makes me feel stupid. And seeing some creepy mid-fourties dudes running his hands all over a stripper half his age trying to make a sale… there is something about that makes me not want to be in the same place as him, and potentiality be categorized by anyone in the same sentence as him. *cringe* Anyway he seemed to enjoy the experience on some level and I wish him all the best in Quebec.
