Last weekend we ventured up to the Madawaska Valley area to visit Bdot's Mom and friends in the area. The drive up was pretty amazing as Fall is in full swing. We drove through Algonquin park and it was well worth it. The Fall colour was amazing. We lucked into an art crawl going on in the area this weekend. We saw some lovely glasswork, paintings, photography and tye dye work. I don't recall if I've ever owned a tye dye shirt... there was one there that caught my eye with deep purples, blues and grays with a peace symbol. I decided to commission one based on that shirt but with a guitar instead of a peace symbol. I expect to get it when we drive back up for Christmas sometime in December. We brought both dogs and they were bonkers. Unfortunately, junior had a few accidents in the house. Hmmpt. We got the dogs our for a short hike with Jess and her dog.
One evening we visited Trish at her new home in town. It was great - she gave us the tour - lots of space. She is slowly turning into a cozy home. She thankfully had a fenced in yard (which works great when the gates are locked) so we let the dogs run around for a bit. The hunting dogs were both afraid their daughter's little kitten. Hmpt. The weather was beautiful for the majority of the weekend. I made a Sheppard's Pie in the MiL's dysfunctional kitchen. What a gong show. I don't think I'll do that again.
The drive home was leisurely. We did all the things. We got coffee (Madawaska Coffee), Ice Cream (Kawartha Dairy in Huntsville) and fries/smash burgers (Din's in Dwight). We also stopped at the West gate for a short walk with the dogs. Edie refused to be photographed. Sigh.
TFC lose out their final five games of the season and miss the playoffs by only a few points. I can't eyeroll hard enough. I hope they sack Insigne. He is pure trash. The biggest effort he made all night was running to Messi at the end of the game for his jersey. What a phoney. MOVE ON FROM HIM!
The Sabres also brought the suck to Europe. They were badly outplayed and lost both games against the Devils in Czechia. For a team that needs to get the fanbase onside they sure continue to flop around with such an abysmal start... JJ got wiped out and concussed. Not sure when he'll be back. Fscking awesome Sabres!
Scary hurricane Milton about to slam into Florida. I hope people are smart enough to evacuate... this one sounds pretty serious. But we are talking about Florida Man...

I hate the Sabres. 0-3 start. Embarrassing home opener. Can't score. They are just so hopeless.
