Yes, Iโve blogged a lot about love and getting into it latelyโฆ but in order to do soโฆ I also had to fall out of love with my ex-girlfriend. Iโm surprised how capable the heart and mind are at shutting love off. Once the decision was irrevocable and separation was a done dealโฆ in spite of having โloved?โ someone for close to a decade I was within weeks prepared to move on. I still care for her butโฆ love herโฆ not as I once did. Perhaps that was the problem. I was really expecting a more drawn out conflicted emotional battleโฆbut, it never happened. My brain was pretty much, โhuh. well, ok. Next.โ That may seem harsh but I guess the switch is on or offโฆ Once it is off. It is off. It has allowed me to turn on another switch howeverโฆ Gawd, what a bad metaphor. Hmmpt.
