Juno

Juno

I didn’t go into work today. Yaaa! I did do some work from home however… so I wasn’t fully disconnected from ‘The Project’. Today was my first ball hockey game in the new league. I was looking forward to seeing Kirk but I’ve been inactive for sooooo long I expected playing to be pretty painful. Fortunately I kept my shifts short so it wasn’t too bad. Being on a team of ‘free agents’ I wasn’t sure what to expect… and I’m still unsure who is really on my team… I guess of the 10 guys signed up for my team only 6 showed… so we had a bunch of subs from other teams. Anyway, the mish-mash of players did well and we beat the Untouchables pretty soundly. I had about two or three chances but didn’t net anything today. It was a lot of fun and I feel good having done it on many levels.

In the evening B. and I finally got to a movie together. A comedy-drama called Juno. Certainly not a movie I would usually pick… but it was very good. Some excellent writing and Ellen Page was extraordinary in her role. It was extremely cute and light, perfect for a lazy Sunday evening. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stopped for a Starbucks (mmm Green Tea frappaccino) and flaked out the rest of the evening on the couch with our licky dog.
