This is from the Sabres Message board. I couldn’t resist duping it here for you. hehe.
Three hockey fans were on their way to a game when one noticed a foot sticking out of the bushes by the side of the road. They stopped and discovered a nude female drunk and passed out. Out of respect for the lady, the Ottawa Senators fan took off his cap and placed it over her right breast. The Buffalo Sabres fan took off his cap and placed it over her left breast. Following their lead, the Toronto Maple Leafs fan took off his cap and placed it over her crotch.
The police were then called and when the officer arrived, he conducted his inspection. First, he lifted up the Senators cap, replaced it, and wrote down some notes. Next, he lifted the Sabres cap, replaced it, and wrote down some more notes. The officer then lifted the Maple Leafs cap, replaced it, then lifted it again and replaced it. Finally, he lifted it one more time, and replaced it.
Meanwhile, the Maple Leafs fan was getting upset and finally asked, “What are you, a pervert or something? Why do you keep lifting and looking, lifting and looking ?” “Well,” said the officer.” I’m a little confused. Normally when I look under a Maple Leafs hat, I find an ***hole!”

I don’t know what it is about Hard Drives, but I’m VERY good at killing them. Admittedly I do have a few computers, many of them fairly old but… Hard drives seem to have premature deaths around me quite often.
My most recent fatality was a 60GB IBM (Hitachi) drive that failed to respond after only two years of service. Naturally I went to their site to see if there was a warranty process. Which there was, and it is a good process. Simply by entering a serial number off the Hard drive the site can tell you if the HD is still under warranty. Good thinking. The process to return and get a new drive – however – thus far – appears to suck ass.
I looked at the webpage for packing instructions which, IMHO, is set up for failure. It is amazing how many things you can do wrong to get your warranty voided. Even if you ship it professionally, if it isn’t boxed right – void. Use bubble wrap or styrofoam peanuts? Void. Apparently you *have* to package your hard drive surrounded with “thick form rubber”… and maybe this is the problem. WHERE THE *#@&^ DO YOU FIND THICK FORM RUBBER!? I think it is some sort of conspiracy. I went to: three separate Canada Post Outlets, two craft stores, Office Place and a Staples to find this “product”. Amazingly no one had it. They *all* did, however, have the voidable peanuts and bubble wrap. Curious indeed. I didn’t find the “foam rubber”. I sent it off encased in a form brick usually used for flower arranging… it was the only thing close to “foam rubber”. I’ll know within 14-21 days if all this frustrating running around was worth it. Gah… heh.
