A sad day

Well…sadly B.’s dog’s Jiggs battle with his immune reaction has ended. He was getting progressively worse and was clearly not responding to the medication. A sad day indeed. Today we lost a friend.

The sadness seems magnified by the psuedo-apocalyptic nature of the massive hydro power outage. Traffic lights out, rows of cars waiting for gas, businesses closed… gee, we aren’t TOO dependant on hydro are we?

B. and I may try to get to Haliburton Forest tonight, but we are deeply in grief and moving very slowly…
