woohoo! the winner!

I guess it is time to make the standard, boy! is it ever hot! comment… Well it is. I’m fulltime onto shorts now. Being a pasty white uber geek in the summer usually sucks. I mean there is nice and warm then there is unbearably hot. It seems the GTA gets more unbearable than nice. Gah! Which all the more reason I have high respect for insane cyclists such as my sister who *compete* in weather like this! 40 degrees with the humidex? Um… A.C. Now! We watched my sibling in a bike race in Milton on Sunday. It was disgusting hot.. now imagine cycling up monstrous hills and ‘technically’ complicated sections in a race. It was all I could muster just to sit in the shade. She must have some gene I don’t because apparently she is very comfortable in sweltering weather… She won her race! Congrats! It was fun to watch. Even if I’m more worried than enjoying most of the time. We got yummy Thai the night before from the Pepper Pot. Saturday night we watched The Golden Compass. I enjoyed the majority of this film. The visuals were good. The led character was good Lyra (not Kidman. gawd she was awful!) but the story seemed a bit jumbled to me. The film makers seemed more intent on making it marketable than enjoyable. The ending foreshadowing to a sequel was incredibly over the top. ⭐⭐⭐½

Monday has been a very long day at work. It seems I’m just getting to do *my* work at 5PM. SIGH. Go Holland! Looking like a big win in the Euro Cup! I love seeing the cry baby-roll around on the ground Italians get a well deserved whooping.
