We spent a quiet night at home. We tried to get Chinese take out but *they were maxed out and not taking any more orders!*. WAH WAH... Then we watching Canada 🇨🇦 v. U.S. 🇺🇸. What a mess. I think the U.S. is a better team. So Canada had to be smart to win. Well they were stupid all night. Even so.... they were only down one going into the third with a full PP to start the period. They tied it then the wheels came off. Dumb penalty after dumb penalty. And WOW! It cost them the game. What a waste... Battle and get a game you weren't in to a tie then lose it with poor penalties. Pretty frustrating to watch. U.S. was the better team and deserved the win. Now Canada has to face a better team in the semis. Czechia I think. I don't think it bodes well...

Watching the Canada 🇨🇦 v. Czechia 🇨🇿 semi final at the World Juniors. They look pretty awful in the first. Early goal against. Late goal against. More stupid penalties. (including a 5m major) They just don't look like they are capable of adapting to how IIHF is called. 3-1 after 1. I have no faith in this team at all.

2nd: Canada generated no serious chances. This line-up is simply not good enough. And being outshot close to 2-1 at 10m. Big late penalty chance for Canada. SCORES! Down only one going into the third. Did tighten the SOG. Will make for an interesting 3rd as they finally appear to have some momentum.

3rd: Good hustle to start the third. Getting some shots. OH MY GAWD THE EXTRA STUPID PASSES! Canada gets a dubious goal called back for goalie interference. They challenge and get a penalty. Canada ties it late with 4:18 left. Ugh. Late penalty against Canada. Reviewed for 2m or 5m TBD. 2m penalty called. And they score with :39 left. Penalties cost Canada this tournament. Clown car ending...Sigh....Yep.

Sabres blow a lead and go to OT v. the Avs. Losers are gunna lose. What a crap team.

Found a pretty cool series on Netflix called Black Doves. We've burnt through three episodes so far...
