Hellboy

Huh. I enjoyed this film… a lot… I liked the characters, the special effects and most of all Ron Perlman’s portrayal of Hellboy. In spite of supernatural strength and power there was a vulnerable, dare I say sensitive side to Hellboy. The character was well developed, likeable and felt more human than most of the humans in the film. The look of the film is somewhat dark but far sharper than Underworld (which I reviewed a while back). Hellboy is based on a comic by Mike Mignola. In a nutshell, Hellboy saves the world from a bunch of demons and villains. Not overly cerebral but very entertaining. Well done. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
