Ah yes, whatever happened to this desk?

Celebrated my mother’s birthday yesterday. Had some yummy chinese food (King’s in St.Catharines, highly recommended) and mmm cake. Nice and quiet, since my sis is away. They actually came over for a bit too. My gf introduced my Dad to Scrabble on the computer. A game I can’t stand. Too restrictive too many rules.

Today, by contrast won’t be quiet. My gf is hosting a birthday party for her sister (and about 10 others)… Ugh. I’m not overly fond of having my house filled with people and noise (noise that I don’t create). Blog ya later.

My sister is swimming, biking and running her ass off at Ironman Florida. Sadly there is no live audio or video coverage.. so text updates and refreshed screens will have to do. GO SIS!

I’ve needed to replace my computer desk for a loooong time. I finally did. A friend told me to check-out a clearance store about 30 minutes from where I live. It was well worth the trip. I wanted a huge desk… So I was really looking for a table. I found exactly what I wanted and it was MUCH MUCH cheaper than anything I have seen. I’ve done a lot of looking. And best of all it is painted in a nice deep cheery colour and it isn’t particleboard. (Which I vowed I would never buy again after a PB desk collapsed on me when I was standing on it…and *i’m* a skinny guy…:P)
