Equal rights

Well… I’m happy Canada has made same sex marriage the law of the land. To quote from an article ⚠️ (link now 404 😕 - Jan/24) : ‘OTTAWA (Reuters) – The Canadian Parliament has approved legislation to allow same sex marriages, helping cement Canada’s image as one of most socially liberal nations in the world.

We are affirming once again our world-wide reputation as a country that is open, inclusive and welcoming, Alex Munter, a spokesman for Canadians for Equal Marriage, said after Parliament voted late on Tuesday to make gay marriages legal across the country. ‘

I agree mostly because I believe the rights of the individual to choose their course in life should be unrestricted for religion, sex, speech… What business is it of mine who my neighbour wants to be united with? I’m glad to be living in a tolerant society. Our neighbours to the South have a lot to learn IMHO.

In other news… I’m going to the Dentist tomorrow. I’m expecting ALL bad news as I know there is a lot of cavities and neglect that has lead to this situation. I just hope it doesn’t break the bank to repair.
