In the summer we bought some cross country ski equipment. Monday we finally got a chance to use it. Iโve gone down-hilling a few times. Iโve enjoyed downhill. Iโve also gone cross country, and the last time I went I hated it. Soโฆ I was pretty unsure how cross country skiing would go for me. Well. It could have been better. It was both frustrating and infuriating but I could see the potential. First off, an inexperienced xccโer such as myself has no business on an ungroomed winding โtrailโ that loops up and down and up and down. It was fool hearty and a clear path to fail. That saidโฆ if the course is flat and straight, I could see some potential for enjoyment, and it is great exercise. I must have used muscles that have been dormant for years, I still ache this morning. I did lose it a few times though, I find it very different than downhill, and my downhill brain is not working well my xcc brain which leads to falling and frustration. I know my limits though. Iโll try it again, only, in the right situation.
GO CANADA! I think we are up to 5 medals! The Snowboarding events are quite entertaining! Get stoked dude! Menโs Hockey win first game convincingly.
My flu or whatever it is, has settled into my chest and developed into a nagging cough. Oh joy.
