Cross Country

In the summer we bought some cross country ski equipment. Monday we finally got a chance to use it. Iโ€™ve gone down-hilling a few times. Iโ€™ve enjoyed downhill. Iโ€™ve also gone cross country, and the last time I went I hated it. Soโ€ฆ I was pretty unsure how cross country skiing would go for me. Well. It could have been better. It was both frustrating and infuriating but I could see the potential. First off, an inexperienced xccโ€™er such as myself has no business on an ungroomed winding โ€˜trailโ€™ that loops up and down and up and down. It was fool hearty and a clear path to fail. That saidโ€ฆ if the course is flat and straight, I could see some potential for enjoyment, and it is great exercise. I must have used muscles that have been dormant for years, I still ache this morning. I did lose it a few times though, I find it very different than downhill, and my downhill brain is not working well my xcc brain which leads to falling and frustration. I know my limits though. Iโ€™ll try it again, only, in the right situation.

GO CANADA! I think we are up to 5 medals! The Snowboarding events are quite entertaining! Get stoked dude! Menโ€™s Hockey win first game convincingly.

My flu or whatever it is, has settled into my chest and developed into a nagging cough. Oh joy.
