UGH.

Well… the Canadian Juniors managed to mess up another tournament in the 3rd period… they were leading 3-1… sloppy play leads to a brutal 4-3 loss to,of all freaking teams, the Americans. What was Fleury thinking? Sigh. Brutal to watch. Just brutal.

Maybe it is time to starting being happy with silver as it seems it is all the junior seem capable of getting. Seven years no gold. Next year the tournament is in the States… I think Canada’s days as the ultimate hockey super power are clearly over. Many of the international teams have great programs and Canada, while still great, is just one of many who can challenge for gold. Congrats to the US, who showed the heart in the 3rd I was expecting to see from the Canadians. Disappointing.
