A fair fare

friends, work, Xbox Gaming

I spent part of yesterday at a job fair in St.Catharines put on by job gym. It was rather disappointing as I expected it to be. Yesโ€ฆ there were many employers and possibly some decent jobs opportunitiesโ€ฆ but there were in very few fields that I would like to work in. They were mostly tourism, hotels, restaurants etc. not really in anything remotely close to information technology. It was pretty much a bust for me. I did however, get some help from a Job Gym dude who pointed out some ways of improving my resume. Which was great. Just minor thingsโ€ฆ but you never know what it takes to get a proper look over.

The evening was at Captainโ€™s. We rented some Xbox games. I must be a doltโ€ฆ I rented the same game as I did before โ€” duped โ€” again โ€” by the multiplayer listing on the box. Reallyโ€ฆ if it is freaking multiplayer IF you have Xbox live or IF you need to link other XBOXes together then, yes it is multiplayer BUT THOSE requirement SHOULD be listed!!! The EA sports games are multiplayer, 4 people can play on one XBOX. I find it very misleading. GRR! Anywaysโ€ฆ we played a bit of BGDA:2 which was fun and then turned to hockey. A nice relaxing evening.
