Elfen Lied

Wow. I finally got to the end of another anime series, Elfen Lied. For awhile the series was losing me, but I’m glad I stuck with it. The ending is moving and powerful. The series both beautiful and grotesque. I wouldn’t recommend it as an anime series to start off one’s interest in anime, as it is very graphic and violent. In spite of that the story and themes are outstanding and often portrayed with a mature higher meaning. The animation was good, not the best I’ve seen, but well suited for the content. The haunting theme song will undoubted echo in my mind for months to come. It ended up being one of the better series I have watched. Goodbye Lucy.
