So Iโ€™m trying to get (admittedly) a very old sound card to work in Windows 2000. No driver. Check the web. The SoundCard comes up as the chip maker. The chip maker only makes the chip and does not create drivers for the sound card. There is a list of manufacturers. Ok. Go there. Drivers for 95, 98, NT4.0, OS2!! and NOT 2000. Joy. Have a nice day.

In happier news I made my first lasagna and got a call from old friend. (ya Val!) ๐Ÿ™‚

Pulp Fiction

I watched Pulp Fiction againโ€ฆ My favourite partโ€ฆ in the store with the Gimp. Bruce Willisโ€™ character has just escaped Zed and nasty violation. He decides to return downstairs and save the man he owes money to. First he picks up a hammer, then a baseball bat, then a chainsaw! He peers around and sees a samurai sword on display and grabs itโ€ฆ heh.

go yankees? yeah! Ron!

Yes, it is strange. I think baseball is one of the most boring sports around. Howeverโ€ฆfor some reasonโ€ฆI can watch playoff baseball. Maybe the crowds are more excited, maybe each game actually means something, maybe the players put in a better effortโ€ฆ but I find the playoff games not too bad.

As a Canadian I (of course) can watch pre-season, regular, and playoff hockeyโ€ฆ Speaking of which, Iโ€™m glad Ron MacLean and the CBC agreed to a deal (I e-mailed the CBC and expressed my displeasure at the thought of Coachโ€™s Corner without him and was impressed to get a reply back from CBC) it is the chemistry of BOTH Ron and Don that make CC so interesting. Really, would the Olympics be the same on CBC without him?

And what happened to that storm we were suppose to get last night?? big nothing.
