Master and Commander

A long day. I watched my sister and her hubby compete in the Niagara Classic cycling race… It was pretty cool to watch. They had a monster hill to climb out in Pelham six times. Phew, it was tiring just *watching* them attack the hill, over and over. The race was quite a spectacle. All the preparation, the police blocking off traffic, the flashy outfits, helmets and bikes, the determination of the athletes… Both my sister and her hubby placed in the top ten.

B. and I ended up watching Master and Commander this evening with the tired cyclists. It was somewhat disappointing. I didn’t find it had a whole lot of substance… The characters weren’t overly interesting either. Basically a cat and mouse duel with ships… The footage of the ships and the ship protocol, and the historic aspects of the film, were however pretty interesting. It did feel authentic. Just not overly engaging. I’d have to spin a ⭐⭐⭐ for this film. I’m surprised it rated so well at the Tomato.

Dragon Age!

Gah! Well… those EVIL Bioware devs are at it again… It looks like they are making another horribly addictive RPG called Dragon Age. It is not related to NWN… but I can imagine they learned tons from developing it so… I wager Dragon Age should be a very solid release. JOY! JOY! JOY!
