Cuts like a knife

We decided to get a second (or is it third or fourth??) opinion on a skin reaction on Tanga’s upper back leg. The reaction has killed the fur about twice the size of a loonie around it. So… we took the dog yesterday to get our breeder’s co-breeder’s vet’s (! haha) take on it. He said if he has seen it sooner a different course of action could have been taken. As is he recommended removing it. So… Tanga goes under the knife next Monday. It is minor surgery but anytime a dog is under anesthesia anything can happen. I’m not sure how this will impact her ‘show ability’ but if it in any way can prevent health issues in the future, I figure it has to be done.

Since we were in Guelph we called Suzanne and Kevin for a dog walk. (They own Tanga’s brother Cairo) We had a nice walk around Guelph Lake. They graciously invited us over for dinner. Dinner was yum and ended with a delicious apple crisp, ice cream and whipping cream… Did they ever expect us to leave?? The dogs had fun abusing each other the whole time as usual. A fun night, we talked a lot. I think most of the boundary walls have crashed down now as no topic was untouched. Things were pretty open. Heh…
