Fred says hello.

It was a busy weekend. Saturday we prepared for company in the evening. We had two couples over for drinks and a board game. The first couple arrived earlier for a dog walk. Before gaming we went out for dinner at the Thai Pepper. It was yum. B. and I shared a Thick Yellow Curry and Pineapple Fried Rice. I tried a Thai beer called Singha, it was quite decent. The food was great but the service was painfully slow. Even if people are sitting around talking they may still want their bill and to leave!

The majority of the evening talk was around dogs. The shared thing among everyone was owning a Vizsla. Now I love my dog but hours on hour of dog talk can get a little tedious. Eventually we got around to playing Cranium. Cranium seems to me an amalgamation of many games such as pictionary, name that tune, spelling, triviaโ€ฆ. It is an uber catch-all of games. It was quite fun for the most part. Playing with a bunch of self admitted type-A personalities however was a little much at times for this type B personality. I couldnโ€™t imagine being that โ€˜typeโ€™. A fun night though overall. It was nice to have some people over for a night and fill the house with some atmosphere.

Today we went to the Home Show by the Ex. Lots of stuff. Not as much furniture as we were hoping for but we did get some great ideas for area rugs. The highlight however was finding an artist we really enjoyed. We ended up bringing home three pieces home for review from Mark Kellet. They are bright, vibrant piecesโ€ฆ two of which Iโ€™m quite certain will be finding a permanent home on our walls. He was great to talk to as well. One of the most interesting and personable people I have met in some time.
